Rapper T.I calls for a TMZ boycott after they posted a story about the cause of death of his sister, Precious Harris. If y'all remember, Precious was in a car accident earlier this year, followed by being in a coma for a week. She never recovered and eventually the family decided to remove her from life support (see my previous story for details).

So, it was never really revealed what exactly happened to Precious, but word on the street was that she had a severe asthma attack while driving a hit a pole. Now I don't know why TMZ didn't just leave it at that .......but they didn't!!!!! They posted a story claiming that they allegedly got the official cause of death from the medical examiner and it revealed that Precious' death was actually due to cocaine use, which triggered an irregular heartbeat leading to her car accident. Let the record show that I have absolutely no idea if this is true!!!!! I did not see the post. Since then, Tip has called for a boycott of TMZ . Check out the video below:

After this, TMZ issued an apology and deleted their original story. They posted a new story with an apology and a long list of all of Precious' accomplishments throughout her life.

From what I know about Precious, she was a lovely woman who was a pillar in her community. She was involved in the civil rights movement, as well as many charitable causes and was a teacher and mentor to many people. TMZ was just plain wrong to try to tarnish her legacy in that way. TMZ reports on celebrity news. Precious is not a celebrity and her business should not have been put out in the street like that (if it's even true....which we don't know to be the case). As a blogger myself, I try to give y'all the information in the most respectful way possible. Precious' death does not in any way speak to the woman that she was and I feel that T.i and his family have every right to be furious!!!!
