Ok y'all........The Love and Hip Hop Reunion part 1 came on tonight and it did not disappoint! During the first part of the episode, I know y'all noticed that Safaree was absent! There was a lot of speculation on why he refused to attend, but by the end of this weeks episode, he had arrived! Was it due to his new engagement with Erica Mena or his beefs with Rich Dollaz and Joe Budden? Who knows? I guess we will see next week!
The show's host Nina Parker wasted no time jumping right in to the Yandy and Kimbella beef. I'll give y'all a little backstory. Kim and Yandy have been friends for like 10yrs. They actually consider each other sisters. A few seasons ago Kim went to Yandy's stepson's birthday party and basically started some mess and when Yandy was asked about it she lied and said she didn't know Kimbella was going to show up, but the show provided footage of Yandy actually on the phone with Kim right before she arrived and Kim told her she was there. The whole issue was that Yandy had beef with both of her stepson's mothers and they were both at the party. Kim felt like Yandy threw her under the bus so they have not been the closest every since then. This season, Kim has been talking pure crap about Yandy to anyone who will listen! So anyway, Yandy opened her home to become a foster mother to a young girl that she mentors and Kim was telling everybody Yandy did it for clout and that she's fake! On a trip to Costa Rica, the ladies seemed to have hashed it out! Hell, Yandy was even a bridesmaid in Kim and Juelz's wedding but when the episode aired Yandy saw that Kim had not fessed up to everything she had said about Yandy and this ignited the feud all over again! Since then, Kim has continued to take shots at Yandy on Instagram saying she is doing stuff for clout. Yandy even participated in a protest to improve prison conditions where she got pepper sprayed and Kim said she did it for clout! I really think Kim is being extra petty and she was dead wrong for even speaking on Yandy's foster child situation. In my opinion, friends go through stuff but you never speak badly about a friend to others (even after the friendship is over). Some stuff is off limits....PERIODT!!!!! Anyway, things got heated during the reunion and at one point Juelz had to shut it down! Kim apologized, but I don't think Yandy is ready to accept the apology just yet. I think these ladies will eventually work things out but who knows?
Kimbella discussed her journey this season. From getting engaged to rapper and baby daddy Juelz Santana, to their wedding, to getting prepared for Juelz to serve a 27 month prison term for bringing a loaded gun and drugs to the airport then fleeing the scene (Juelz has since gotten clean). In a surprising twist, Kimbella announced that she is expecting a baby boy and she is 6mths into her pregnancy! Juelz is expected to report to prison in the next 2 weeks so he wont be there for the birth of the baby! Juelz and Kimbella have two kids together and they both have sons from previous relationships. Kim is gonna need all the help and support she can get! Nina asked Yandy if she would be there for Kim and Yandy said she would regardless of the issues between them . We shall see!
Nina then moved on to Joe Budden and Cyn Santana. Cyn talked about being a new mom to her son Lexington, suffering with postpartum depression and getting engaged to Joe (I know...everybody is getting engaged). Cyn really broke down when talking about how she revealed that she was molested by a female family member as a child and had never spoke on it prior. She said it was hard to talk about and her mom was upset when she told her the night before the show aired. Cyn said she was affected so bad by this that she doesn't want to get a nanny and didn't want anyone else changing her baby's diapers because she doesn't trust anyone! This also affected her relationship with Joe due to the fact that they didn't have much free time together and this pushed them apart somewhat! Joe has been working very hard and withholding sex from Cyn! She feels like he is not attracted to her anymore and that added to her postpartum depression. The couple have been going to therapy separately and together, and they are working on their communication issues. Good luck to them!
Love and Hip Hop introduced their first transgendered cast member Sidney Starr. Sidney is an aspiring rapper (though in my opinion she is not very talented). Sidney is way over the top! Rich Dollaz was trying to help with her rap career so he enlisted the help of cast mates Jaquae (to help with the music) and Nya Lee (to help with her image). Sydney was not taking things seriously enough for Jaquae and got into several arguments with Nya! At one point, Nya had given Sydney a lot of nice dresses and she threw them on the floor and also cut one up! If that wasn't enough, the ladies went to a winery and Sidney was trying to fight Nya! It was just crazy. Eventually, Sidney did prove herself to Rich and cast mate Mariahlynn helped with her song (much to Rich's dismay). Anyway, At the reunion Sidney talked about how hard her transition was and some of the cast gave her constructive criticism and just basically told her to tone it down a little bit. In my opinion she needs to tone it down a lot and do some real work on her craft! Hopefully we see a dramatic change in Sidney if she returns next season.
Nina spoke to Mariahlynn about her relationship with Rich Dollaz and her rumored pregnancy. Mariah dispelled that rumor but apparently, her and Rich have been creeping for 8yrs off and on and she told the cast that she is very much in love with Rich. She also, said that she and Rich are working on him getting his vasectomy reversed so they can have a baby. Rich was heated! He did not have Mariah's back at all! He actually cursed her out and walked off stage. This upset Mariah and she subsequently go into it with Nya (who gave unsolicited advice) and eventually left the stage to go talk to Rich. Mariah pleaded with Rich to go back onstage and have her back and he did....somewhat lol. Now it might just be me, but I'm not getting ready to be nobody's secret jump off for 8yrs and they wont even claim me. Rich needs to stop his mess. He better be glad that anybody would still want to be with him after all the women he done ran through! Maybe some day soon these two will get it together!
Part one of the reunion was action packed. I cant wait to see what's to come! Y'all tune in!
