John Singleton

As we know by now, Director John Singleton passed away on April 29th. Now at the time his family was allegedly engaged in a legal battle to gain control of his money and businesses. It was basically his mother Sheila Ward against his daughter Cleopatra Singleton (see my previous story for details). Since John has passed it has come out that he had a will and in his will he named his oldest daughter Justice Singleton as beneficiary of his estate, which is valued at 3.8 million dollars. Apparently, the will was written in 1993, when Justice was his only child (he has had six more since then). Under California law the other children may still have rights because they are not excluded from the will. Now, allegedly John may have a trust that disposes of his other assets that are not included in his will. His full estate is reportedly valued at 35 million. Sheila will get custody of John's 2 minor children (which is irrelevant due to the fact that the children's mothers have already taken custody). No word on what's going on with Cleopatra but based off his alleged assets I hope that all parties involved will be financially secure. The other thing that I found out is that John's death certificate list his date of passing as one day prior to the date the family gave when they made the announcement. Look y'all I don't know what all the secrecy is about but something smells fishy to me! Anyway just giving a quick update. Stay tuned.
